MLB fans and collectors are in for a treat.
Few things are more valuable to them than items that were used in actual MLB games: balls, gloves, bats, mitts, etc.
Baseball card and collectibles company Topps, together with the league and its teams, is taking things to the next level.
“A number of players across the MLB are using bats that have photos of their Topps Flagship cards on the bat knob. After these bats are used in games, the knobs will be cut off from the bats, and put into 1/1 autograph cards,” the company tweeted, prompting many replies from fans showing their excitement.

The player in the picture, Los Angeles Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel, is one of MLB’s most promising players at his position.
Collectors will get the chance to acquire these autograph cards that will have something that was directly used in games.
This initiative is meant to keep fans closer to the game experience, and judging by some of the replies, people are definitely looking forward to these.
So far, Topps hasn’t revealed a list of the players’ autograph cards who will be available under this new feature.
Regardless, it should be a fun experience for young collectors and also the more experienced ones.
And, of course, it’s cool to see baseball’s best and most promising players using these bat knobs.
For a long time, Topps has been one of the most famous card and collectibles brand out there, and it’s working hard to give fans new ways to get some really cool items and cards.
This initiative certainly qualifies.
