With the first pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears surprised exactly no one when the team selected former USC quarterback Caleb Williams.
Before the 2023 college football season had even reached the halfway mark, Williams was believed to be the first pick.
The Bears tried to be coy by telling the sports world they were looking at all options.
However, the organization desperately needed a franchise quarterback and Williams gave them that possibility.
Now that he’s a member of the team, ESPN Bet feels that Williams has the best odds to become the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Do the Bears have the weapons around Caleb Williams to bring Chicago a championship? 👀

The outlet posted on Twitter that Williams has the best odds (+200) to win the award.
ESPN Bet also asked in its tweet whether the Bears have the necessary weapons around Williams to compete for a championship.
It’s a good question.
Chicago already had receiver DJ Moore and tight end Cole Kmet and added Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift in free agency.
Then, with their ninth overall pick, the team got richer by selecting Washington receiver Rome Odunze.
On paper, and assuming everyone stays healthy, Chicago will have a very good offense.
It also depends on whether Williams can learn the intricacies of the NFL in a short period of time.
He should certainly help an offense that was ranked 18th overall in 2023 in points scored.
If Williams fails to pick up the offense or gets hurt, Chicago is in for another long year.
