The Chicago Bears don’t exactly have a rich history at the quarterback position.
They have had success in the past, but that was at a time when the running game was more prevalent than it is now.
One of the things the Bears are infamous for is being the only franchise in the NFL to not have a quarterback throw for over 4,000 yards in a single season.
They tried to turn things around with Justin Fields, but it was quickly made clear that he was not the direction the team wanted to go for the foreseeable future.
However, things could change for this team in the 2024 NFL Draft, considering they have the No. 1 overall pick and are expected to draft Caleb Williams.
Williams has been viewed as a game-changing player for several seasons and could provide a positive impact for the Bears.
Mike Greenberg talked about this at length in a recent ESPN Radio show.
“The ones who turn out to be great tend to be great in their second year,” Greenberg said.

Greenberg indicated that big things could be on the horizon for the Bears if Williams turns out to be the prospect that many are expecting.
He would be surprised if the Bears are unable to win with him in the next few years, given the amount of pieces they’ve added to help him succeed.
The NFC North is getting tougher every season, especially now that Jordan Love seems to be panning out for the Green Bay Packers.
