With the NFL Draft about to take place, most scouts and fans have a bit of a picture of who’s going in which slot.
Nonetheless, even if we might know who’s going No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3, that doesn’t mean we have a clue of which team is going to end up getting that player.
That’s particularly the case with Drake Maye.
The UNC prospect has been tied to the New England Patriots for most of the pre-draft process, but there are multiple teams keeping tabs on him as well.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings are still trying to get him.
Talking on Get Up, Schefter claimed that he would be shocked if the Giants went all-in and gave up a lot to get him just one year after signing Daniel Jones to a big contract, although that could still be in the cards.
He believes the Vikings are in a better position and more desperate to make a big move, so he could definitely see them going as high as No. 3.

Needless to say, the New England Patriots are also in desperate need of a quarterback, so it would take a lot to get them to trade down from No. 3 and not get Maye for themselves.
If not, the Vikings have also been tied with the likes of JJ McCarthy, who could and should be available for them at either No. 4 or No. 5, assuming they can’t strike a deal with the Patriots.
