Summer trips have some-kind-of-feeling on me, anyone else? They just instantly get me excited! Take me anywhere the sun is shining, get your girl a cold beverage and toss me in some water – that is my summer jam! Today I’m so excited to share some of my most favorite items from Nordstrom Rack to pack for your next summer trip and the best part is they can all fit in your carry-on!
I don’t know about you, but for me when it comes to packing and traveling I do my best to not check in bags.. so one carry-on it is! And I have to pat myself on the back these days, I’ve mastered it! How you ask? Well it’s pretty simple, find pieces to pack that can be worn in multiple ways and for different occasions! Your travel day outfit can be worn on the plane TO your destination, and also worn on your RETURN flight home! Pack less, but pack the best! Here’s a list I love to adhere by if I’m jet setting for a 5-day Summer Trip, Carry-on Style!

When I’m hitting the ‘port for a day of travel, you can bet you’ll find me in the world’s comfiest look – from head to toe! Starting with the softest made travel set, oh my word. When I pulled this on over my head I instantly felt home. It wrapped me without suffocating me in the best way possible. Now for the toes, I always fly in sneakers.. because you never know when you’re going to need to RUN to hit your next connection[if you’ve know, you know!] …. and now my pits are sweating from just talking about it! haha! The fear of missing my flight is real, and I never fear if I’m wearing these sneakers! Not only are they extremely comfortable but aren’t they the dang cutest?!

Brunch never seems to be something planned I feel, it’s always a last minute idea! So having a quick outfit to toss on[but still looks cute] is usually my go-to! +one that doesn’t take up much space, as we only have a carry-on, remember!?! This brunch look checks off all my boxes, so it was an easy slip in to the carry-on luggage 😉

If there is one thing you pack…. let it be a denim jacket. These little babies are the best travel companions! They go with every outfit and are simply the best type of jacket to bring on any trip as they are extremely versatile! Maxi dresses take no space in your carry-on and are perfect for cover-ups & dinner looks! And of course you’ve seen the sandals, they are the ones that will take you from brunch to dinner… winner winner!
