After an incredible 2023 NFL season, which resulted in an AFC South division title, a playoff berth, and a win, along with the emergence of a legitimate superstar quarterback in C.J. Stroud, the Houston Texans are one of the most promising young teams in the NFL right now with a bright future ahead.
With the team’s brass seeing the potential the team has to become a title contender in the AFC sooner rather than later, Houston made a few bold moves during this NFL offseason to make this team that much better during the 2024 campaign.
As a result, the team recently made a blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Bills to acquire superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs, a move no one saw coming that could be a potential game-changer for the Texans.
On Monday, Stroud was asked about how he found out about the Diggs trade and admitted he was asleep when it happened, with everyone seemingly blowing up his phone to talk about the trade that he didn’t know went down via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
“#Texans QB CJ Stroud was probably the last person to find out that they traded for Stefon Diggs.
“I was asleep.”
His friends were texting him to ask how he was doing, and he thought they were just checking in on him, so he just went back to sleep. 😂 pic.twitter.com/3XAuBhVJrx

With the addition of Diggs, along with some solid moves to bring in pass rusher Danielle Hunter and running back Joe Mixon, the Texans will likely be considered a title contender right out of the gate to start the 2024 NFL season.
Houston isn’t wasting any time in trying to build a perennial title contender and seems to be making all the right moves to do so, which will maximize Stroud’s chance of leading this team to a Super Bowl title.
