After losing to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals, the Miami Heat have been searching for their way during the 2023-24 NBA season.

Miami is notorious for cruising through the regular season after making so many deep playoff runs, but this season the team hasn’t quite looked like itself.

Despite improved play from Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, the Heat haven’t been quite as solid on either end of the floor and find themselves once again in the Play-In Tournament.

On the final day of the regular season, Miami sits in the No. 8 seed and will play either the Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic, or Philadelphia 76ers in the Play-In matchup.

The Heat are taking on the Toronto Raptors on the final day of the regular season, a tune-up as the Raptors have bottomed out in hopes of landing a high draft pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra was asked to describe his team’s season before the game against Toronto and he summed it up with one word, via Zach Weinberger of ClutchPoints.

“Eventful,” Spoelstra said.

Eventful is the perfect word to describe the season for Spoelstra and his group as they went through several ups and downs to get to where they are.

Since Spoelstra took over as head coach, Miami has been a fixture in the postseason and always finds a way to hit their potential when the games matter the most.

It’s hard to imagine the Heat getting sent home early given their track record, but the talent at the top of the Eastern Conference is much more dangerous this time around.
