Meaningful Mother’s Day Gifts – Living in Yellow

Disclosure: Thank you to Etsy and Collective Voice for sponsoring today’s post. All products were selected, purchased, and loved by yours truly.

Mother’s Day has a whole different meaning this year as it’s approaching [consider this your reminder that Mother’s Day is May 12th this year – meaning you have exactly one month to find something to give to the mother in your life or kindly remind your other half that they better start shopping ;)]

I vividly remember last Mother’s Day and how it felt to be sitting in the position of desperately wanting to be pregnant, to know what it would feel like to be partaking in the celebrations as a mother, and just feeling all of the emotions of not being to that place yet. You can read what I had posted about my thoughts and feelings on Mother’s Day last year here!

It brings me to tears to read that while feeling my little baby boy kicking inside. Such an answer to prayer that I don’t take for granted. While I won’t have our little one in my arms yet this Mother’s Day [officially 29 weeks now!] I will be celebrating this special day with so much love tucked into my stomach.

If you or others in your life are experiencing their first Mother’s Day, or you just want to spoil the moms in your life with a meaningful gift this year [there’s nothing wrong with gift cards and chocolate, however, sometimes there’s something even sweeter about a personalized, thought out gift] I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites from Etsy. Aka the home of the best gift destination in all of the online world. They have a whole plethora of Mother’s Day gifts that are sure to make her smile. Bonus: You’re also supporting small businesses when purchasing from Etsy which is reason enough to make us all feel good about our purchases!

First up, a personalized sweatshirt for the mom who loves to be comfy while wearing her heart on her sleeve – literally 😉 You can either have the names of your child[ren] on the sleeve, or their initials.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t cry when I read this book all the way through. It is a personalized book that you create using your child’s name, their hair color, eye color, etc and then it’s a story between the child and their mom. It’s incredibly sweet and such a sweet way to surprise a new mom in your life.

Next up, who doesn’t love a good gift box full of the coziest goodies? I was so impressed with the different options for the boxes at the price point that it is. Whether it’s a new mom you’re gifting this to, or a special mom in your life who could use a little R&R [that’s all of them, right?] this box will offer her just that! Bonus: it comes wrapped nicely with a ribbon around it, meaning you don’t have to do a thing except hand it over to the recipient!
