Sauce Gardner took the NFL by storm in 2022 and immediately became one of the league’s best cornerbacks as a rookie.

He led everyone with 20 passes defended, and he was not only named the Defensive Rookie of the Year but was also named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First Team.

After two seasons, he now has the experience to know who the best wide receivers in the NFL are, and per Dov Kleiman, he gave his list of the top-five wideouts, in no particular order: Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb.

Hill continues to be a speed demon for the Miami Dolphins, and this past season, he was on pace for a truly historic year.

An ankle injury slowed him down late in the schedule, but he still finished with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns, both of which were league highs.

If Jefferson hadn’t suffered an injury of his own that caused him to miss seven games, perhaps he would’ve made some history himself.

He finished second behind Hill in receiving yards per game, and in 10 games, he was able to muster 1,074 yards and five touchdowns.

Adams had a down year in 2023, as his Las Vegas Raiders struggled with poor quarterback play, but he still put up 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.

Cooper played a big role in the injury-riddled Cleveland Browns making the playoffs, and Lamb was a close second to Hill in total receiving yards while scoring 12 receiving touchdowns and 14 altogether.

If Gardner’s New York Jets are to meet the hype some have created for them once again, he will have to lock down Jefferson and Hill twice this coming season, as they will face the Vikings once and the Dolphins twice.
