Toronto Raptors rookie Gradey Dick is set to return from a groin strain Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, the team announced.
Dick, 20, only missed one game against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night after suffering the injury in Sunday’s win over the Washington Wizards.
In 57 games this season, Dick is averaging 8.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 42.5 per cent from the field and 36.4 per cent from three.
Despite his return, it’ll be a shorthanded squad for the Raptors against the Nets, as centre Kelly Olynyk and wing RJ Barrett are both sitting out the second leg of the back-to-back. Guard Gary Trent Jr. (back) and wing Bruce Brown (knee) are also out for Wednesday’s night game.
Only nine players will be available for the Eastern Conference matchup.
