When the Chicago Bears decided to trade away Justin Fields, the writing was on the wall for them ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

If there was any question about the team taking a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick, this trade has quelled those concerns.

Many expect the Bears to take Caleb Williams in this spot, as he is considered the top quarterback prospect in this class.

Williams and the Bears have been a common topic of discussion throughout the offseason, which was put on full display in a recent segment of NFL Total Access.

After discussing the Bears and what kind of landing spot would be best for Williams, Daniel Jeremiah said, “I can’t think of one that’s better.”

This indicates Jeremiah’s belief in what the Bears have built over the past few years, as he is under the impression that Williams can make a monumental impact on this team.

They have recently acquired several offensive pieces, which should set Williams up for success in his rookie season, assuming the Bears draft him.

After years of struggling to find consistency at the quarterback position, Williams could be the missing piece the Bears have been searching for.

While drafting Williams could be a step in the right direction, the Bears do not have an easy path to relevance moving forward.

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers have continued to get stronger, which could be a roadblock for Williams and the Bears in their quest for improvement as an organization.
