The Green Bay Packers will be busy during the 2024 NFL Draft as the franchise has 11 total draft selections at their disposal.

What players the team will seek in the later rounds are finally coming into focus.

Sports Illustrated writer Joey Van Zummeren posted on Twitter that the Packers hosted Missouri linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper for a pre-draft visit recently.

The Packers have multiple draft selections in both the sixth and the seventh rounds, and the team is doing its due diligence by having several players projected in later rounds visit.

At Missouri, Hopper was a two-year starter and earned All-SEC honors last season for the Tigers.

Green Bay is looking for athletes that can play the inside linebacker position as Quay Walker, Isaiah McDuffie, and Eric Wilson are the only three athletes currently on the roster that fit this mold.

Hopper had a decent showing at the 2024 NFL Combine, finishing among the top-15 linebackers at the annual showcase of talent.

Analysis of Hopper’s abilities show that the long-limbed linebacker is a physical player that can work from sideline to sideline.

Hopper’s projected as an NFL backup with special teams value currently.

At Missouri, Hopper had 55 tackles and three sacks in 2023.

Statistically, Hopper’s 2022 season was the best with 74 tackles and three sacks as well as an interception.

The Packers will also be in search of a safety and an offensive tackle in this year’s NFL Draft.

Only two teams have more top-100 picks than the Packers this season, and having multiple draft picks should help the team secure several areas of need for the upcoming regular season.
