The 2024 NFL Draft is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in decades as the offensive talent is overflowing at multiple positions.
The quarterback and offensive tackle position groups are filled with potential franchise-altering players, though the wide receiver class is the deepest it’s ever been.
The top-three receivers garnering the most attention are Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., LSU’s Malik Nabers, and Washington’s Rome Odunze.
The trio is expected to go in the first round in some order, with Harrison the most likely to be the first wideout off the board.
Aside from the “Big 3” receivers, there are several others that are making some noise ahead of the draft.
Peter Schrager listed the five wide receivers that are starting to gain some momentum with the draft weeks away, via his personal Twitter account.
He named Brian Thomas Jr., Ja’Lynn Polk, Ricky Pearsall, Troy Franklin, and Ladd McConkey.

Thomas is the most intriguing out of the five Schrager mentioned because he led college football in receiving touchdowns with 17.
Although Nabers is the more revered prospect, Thomas isn’t a slouch and has the talent to be a true No. 1 at the next level.
Like Thomas, Polk suffers from having a renowned teammate like Odunze but that shouldn’t take away from his ability as a receiver.
Meanwhile, Pearsall, Franklin, and McConkey are expected to go late in the first round or early on Day 2 in the second round and each projects as a quality starter who can be a legitimate No. 2 option on the right team.
