After spending eight successful years with the Tennessee Titans, Derrick Henry left the only NFL franchise he has ever played for to join the Baltimore Ravens in 2024.

One of the reasons Henry made the change is to win a Super Bowl, the Pro Bowl running back admitted recently.

Via a clip of his interview on “The Jim Rome Show” on Friday, Henry shared his deep desire to win a Super Bowl with his new team.

“I pray for it every day,” Henry said.

Henry’s answer was in response to interviewer Jim Rome’s question about exactly how important winning a championship would be to the running back.

Winning a Super Bowl would be no like no other feeling, Henry added, because of the all hard work his entire team would have do in order to become champions.

Henry added that he was frustrated by the Titans’ close calls, failing to advance beyond the AFC Championship Game in his time there.

Those failures led him to look elsewhere this offseason, winding up with the Ravens via free agency.

The veteran running back said he would continue playing until he can achieve this lifelong dream, reiterating how upset he has been watching others win NFL titles in recent years.

Speculation evolved around which team would add Henry early this offseason, especially with the Dallas Cowboys’ desire to acquire the potential Hall-of-Fame runner.

In 119 career games, Henry has rushed for 9,502 yards and 90 touchdowns since Tennessee drafted him in 2016.

Through the air, Henry has caught 155 passes for 1,458 yards and three scores.
