Seven aid workers with World Central Kitchen were killed in an airstrike in Gaza, the food aid nonprofit said Tuesday, blaming the Israel Defense Forces. It added that it is immediately pausing its operations in the region and that the team had coordinated with the IDF about its movements before the strike. Those killed included a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, a Palestinian worker and nationals from Australia, Poland and the United Kingdom, according to World Central Kitchen. Israel had earlier said it was aware of reports of the incident and would conduct a “thorough review.”
