Like many Boston Celtics fans, Paul Pierce was shocked and disappointed to see the team give up a huge 30-point lead to lose to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.
However, he isn’t too concerned and still has a lot of faith in the Celtics.
“What’s there to be concerned about from a team who’s won 20 out the last 23 games?” Pierce asked on Tuesday’s episode of “Undisputed.”
Pierce said the team may have just grown “bored” during the surprising loss to the Hawks but thinks they can quickly get back on track.
If anything, Monday’s defeat will act as a wake-up call to Boston, Pierce claimed.

There may be truth to his assessment.
Although their loss to the Hawks was indeed very troubling and does have some fans worried, certain things need to be remembered.
For starters, the Celtics remain far and away the best team in the NBA.
Their 57-15 record speaks for itself and they have won many games recently.
In fact, they were on a nine-game winning streak before the Hawks humbled them and were repeatedly dominant.
Every team, even the very best ones, have off nights and Pierce believes that is what happened on Monday.
He thinks the team just needs to take a second, refocus, and then make a strong push into the last few weeks of the season.
He said that the loss to Atlanta might be a wake-up call, which could end up being bad news for the Hawks.
They are going to face off against that team again on Thursday night.
If the Celtics are able to bounce back in a huge way and assert their dominance again, most people will forget about this ugly loss.
