The Los Angeles Lakers are getting hot right now.

Darvin Ham’s team has strung together three solid efforts, winning back-to-back-to-back matchups.

They were at their best offensively on Sunday night, putting up 150 against the Indiana Pacers.

And while Rick Carlisle’s team isn’t known for playing defense, the fact that they were able to keep up with their fast pace and fresh legs was still remarkable.

Considering that, former All-Star Paul Pierce admitted that he’s been quite impressed with the Lakers lately.

Making an appearance on Fox Sports’ Undisputed, the Boston Celtics legend said that the Lakers are playing very good basketball down the stretch, and he thinks that they should win at least four of their next six games, even if they’re all on the road.

“Lately I’ve been impressed with the Lakers. This is how you need to play down the stretch,” Pierce said.

The Lakers haven’t been consistent all season, and while injuries have had something to do with that, poor coaching has also stood in their way multiple times.

Savvy coaches have often exposed Darvin Ham, and he has failed to dig his team out of big deficits more often than not.

Then again, we’re still talking about one of the prime duos in the league.

LeBron James will always give you a lot, and Anthony Davis has had his best campaign as a Laker.

On top of that, it seems like Austin Reaves has finally gotten his legs back under him, and D’Angelo Russell is finally redeeming himself in Los Angeles.

They’re still not good enough to pursue a championship, but they could make some noise in the playoffs.
