The NFL lost one of their best — if not the best — defensive player ever.

Aaron Donald is finally riding into the sunset and walking away from the game, and offensive linemen and offensive coordinators all over the league couldn’t be happier.

Donald dominated the line of scrimmage like no other player during his time, and by a wide margin.

In the latest edition of his New Heights podcast, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce went out of his way to praise him.

He said that they had to double-team him on every single play because the entire game plan was centered on not letting him take over the game.

“He is the only defensive tackle that we have ever gone up against where the entire gameplan is situated on not having him ruin the game,” Kelce said.

Kelce believes he was the most dominant defensive player of his time, adding that it wasn’t even close.

And while he didn’t think of him as the biggest guy out there, he was by far the most powerful.

Kelce praised Donald’s body of work and shiftiness, and it’s hard to argue with his words.

During his prime, Donald was an unstoppable defensive force.

Kelce believes he should’ve had better career numbers if it wasn’t for the fact that every single team in the league was focused solely on him regardless of the play design or what was going on somewhere else on defense.

Donald will go down as a legend of this game, and while most people will still put Lawrence Taylor ahead of him, he will still be in the conversation.
