The Cincinnati Bengals have arguably one of the best receiving corps in the NFL, with superstar quarterback Joe Burrow having the benefit of being able to throw passes to wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on a weekly basis during the season.

However, that solid duo might not be around for that much longer in Cincinnati with Higgins recently being franchise-tagged by the team and, despite being set to get paid a large sum next season, wasn’t all that happy about not being able to test NFL free agency in order to secure a long-term deal.

That said, the Bengals could consider trading Higgins at some point during this NFL offseason, which might be in the works with former NFL star wide receiver DeSean Jackson stirring the pot recently on Up & Adams with Kay Adams about a potential trade during the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

“Do you always want me to tell you what I’m hearing?” Jackson said.

It remains unclear whether this is an idea of Jackson’s or if he’s actually got some inside information on the situation in Cincinnati, but it does seem to make sense that the Bengals could make a move in the draft using Higgins at a trade chip, especially with all the wide receiver talent that will be available.

In 12 games during the 2023 NFL season, Higgins caught 42 passes for 656 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Interestingly enough, statistically, that is Higgins’ worst season to date, but he did miss five games during the regular season, so that could’ve changed had he and Burrow been on the field more this past season.
