The Miami Dolphins have had a tumultuous offseason and have lost a ton of talent in free agency, with yet another member of the team on his way out of town after signing with the Washington Commanders.
Washington’s new regime has been active so far and are now bringing in some help for a secondary that surrendered the most passing yards in the NFL in 2023.
According to ESPN’s John Keim, the Commanders have signed former first-round pick Noah Igbinoghene, who spent last season in Dallas after playing the first three years of his career with the Dolphins.

Igbinoghene played just 25 defensive snaps for the Cowboys last year and was a consistent contributor on special teams.
He represents a depth signing for the Commanders who need all the help they can get in the secondary, especially after losing Kendall Fuller to the Dolphins on a two-year, $16 million deal in free agency.
Fuller posted 14 interceptions in six seasons across two separate stints with Washington and leaves behind plenty of defensive snaps available.
Washington has signed a pair of safeties thus far in free agency, landing Jeremy Chinn from the Panthers and retaining their own in Jeremy Reaves on a two-year, $6 million deal.
However, Igbinoghene is the first corner they have brought in and perhaps this new coaching regime can tap into some of the things that made him a first-round pick not long ago.
Washington will rely on 2023 first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes to step up after an up-and-down rookie season to develop into the No. 1 corner this team sorely needs.
