Over the last few weeks, Damian Lillard has been very honest about the changes he has gone through while adjusting to playing with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Although he really wants to help his team win and is thankful for his NBA career, Lillard has honestly admitted that the adjustment has been tough on him and his family.

Speaking on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Lillard said that the entire process of moving from Portland to Milwaukee was a whirlwind.

He said that moving away from his family and his friends was difficult, as was the fact that he came to the Bucks right before training camp.

“I knew what I signed up for, but it was still a major adjustment,” he said.

This sort of move would have been different if Lillard had more time to get to know his teammates and learn how to play alongside them.

Instead, he was basically thrown into the mix without much time to settle down.

He admitted to Dan Patrick that this change didn’t come without some growing pains.

The season hasn’t been as smooth as possible but it has been productive, especially recently.

Lillard is averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.

Lately, he has been working better than ever with his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the duo finally looks like one of the best in the Eastern Conference.

Lillard has faith in his team and thinks they could be championship contenders.

Yet, he is also refreshingly honest about how hard these alterations to his life have been.

As time goes on, his life will adjust and he will be more and more comfortable living in Milwaukee after years in Portland.

And his team may continue to improve with Lillard and Antetokounmpo at the center of it all.
