Less than one week after getting released by the cap-crunched Buffalo Bills, veteran centre Mitch Morse signed a two-year, $10.5-million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported.
A total of $7 million is guaranteed, Garafolo reported.
Morse, one of the leaders of an improved Bills offensive line last season, was one of five players released by Buffalo last week with the team needing to shed salary to get its payroll below the salary cap.
The 31-year-old Morse has been with the Bills since 2019, reaching the playoffs every year and capturing four consecutive AFC East titles. He made the Pro Bowl in 2022
Morse has suffered six documented concussions, though he did not miss a game last season.
Morse will get a chance to return to Orchard Park, N.Y. this year as the Jaguars are scheduled to play the Bills at Highmark Stadium.
