The New York Giants have officially agreed to let star RB Saquon Barkley test out the free-agent market.

Barkley has been one of the best running backs in the game since he entered the league, but injury concerns and the downfall in the running back market worked against him in contract negotiations.

Nonetheless, he’s still going to gauge plenty of league-wide interest as soon as the free agency period starts.

With that in mind, renowned sports pundit Rich Eisen shared his top-five destinations for the Penn State product, choosing the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Baltimore Ravens, the Green Bay Packers, and the Houston Texans.

The Cowboys need a true bell cow running back, as Tony Pollard failed to step up and be a suitable replacement for Ezekiel Elliott.

The Chargers will most likely lose Austin Ekeler, and with Jim Harbaugh’s preference for the running game, he’d be a seamless fit for his offense.

The Ravens have also favored a run-heavy game around Lamar Jackson, and while they’ve often taken a committee approach to the running back position, he’d instantly be their best option out of the backfield.

The Packers do have a solid star at the position in Aaron Jones, so it seems unlikely that they’ll look to spend big bucks on another running back.

As for the Texans, he’d be a major upgrade over both Dameon Pierce and Devin Singletary, and they’re currently the odds-on favorites to acquire the former No. 2 pick in free agency.
