Anthony Davis is viewed as one of the top players in the NBA, thanks to his impressive prowess on both the offensive and defensive end of the floor.

But Davis has been criticized over the years for his inability to stay on the court due to injuries.

Davis is currently playing the fifth season of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, but he has only played more than 60 games twice.

This season, Davis has been repeatedly praised for staying healthy and contributing to the Lakers, but the 2020 NBA champion suffered a shoulder injury during the game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

Although Davis managed to play 41 minutes against the Bucks, he gave a concerning update on the injury during the postgame conference, as revealed via Dave McMenamin.

Davis revealed that his left shoulder is sore following the collision with Giannis Antetokounmpo during the game.

So much so that he was unable to properly move or raise his left shoulder.

As a result, Davis will get treatment on Saturday ahead of the Lakers’ Sunday night matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Considering the fact that the Lakers are still the ninth seed in the Western Conference, they need to win as many games as possible to avoid playing in the Play-In Tournament.

Davis has remained a key member of the team as he averaged 24.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game for the team this season.

If Davis misses significant time due to the shoulder injury, it could have an adverse impact on the Lakers’ hopes of making a deep playoff run this season.
