The NFL Draft is rapidly approaching.
Many prospects could impact NFL rosters in a significant way, including blue-chip quarterback Caleb Williams.
Williams was highly touted throughout his collegiate career and is now viewed as the best QB prospect in the draft.
The Chicago Bears have been a commonly-discussed landing spot for Williams, given they have the No. 1 overall pick.
However, Robert Griffin III recently made his case for Williams to join the Washington Commanders, who currently hold the No. 2 pick.
“To get him to reunite with Kliff Kingsbury as his offensive coordinator, who just coached him at USC just last year, would be phenomenal,” Griffin said.

Griffin also indicated that, since Williams grew up in the Washington D.C. area, this would be a perfect fit for him.
He called Williams “interesting,” both on and off the field, and because of his quirkiness, he believes that a reunion with Kingsbury would be in the best interest of all parties involved.
Kingsbury was brought in as the Commanders’ OC for a reason, and if he can help transform Williams into an elite NFL quarterback, this job change will be well worth it.
Of course, for Kingsbury to have a chance to work with Williams, the Commanders might have to trade up to the No. 1 pick.
The Bears have reportedly not made their decision about Justin Fields, and if that is the case, the door could be open for the Commanders to acquire this pick.
The next several weeks should be interesting, especially for the teams near the top of the draft order.
