There will be a number of intriguing quarterbacks available via free agency this offseason, and it isn’t just limited to starters or star-quality signal-callers.
Teams cannot really have enough backups in today’s NFL, and on Wednesday, Mitchell Trubisky found himself on a new team.
The Buffalo Bills reportedly agreed to terms with Trubisky, per Mike Garafolo.

Trubisky played for Buffalo back in 2021, and that will shorten his adjustment period, as he will be reuniting with head coach Sean McDermott.
It wasn’t that long ago that he was thought to be a high-level quarterback prospect after the Chicago Bears took him with the No. 2 pick in the 2017 draft.
But after making the Pro Bowl in 2018, his production fell off, and he has started just seven games in the last three years.
In 2023, he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he started two contests after QB1 Kenny Pickett went out with an ankle injury.
Trubisky’s arrival could also be seen as some sort of insurance in case Josh Allen, Buffalo’s star QB, gets hurt.
Elsewhere on their roster, the Bills have been rumored to be on the path to letting go of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who reportedly has had a rift with the organization and possibly Allen himself dating back to the 2022 playoffs.
Although Diggs had a down year, he still caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns during the 2023 campaign, and without him, Trubisky could have a difficult time this fall and winter, should Trubisky get onto the field for game action.
