After six seasons with the New York Giants, it appears that Saquon Barkley’s time with the storied NFL franchise might be coming to an end, as he will hit the free-agent market during the offseason with no shortage of suitors expected to be interested in his services.

With the Giants potentially passing on the opportunity to bring him back or Barkley simply wanting to leave the Big Apple, the Dallas Cowboys could swoop in and sign him, which would bring an entirely different dynamic to the team’s offense.

Although the Cowboys are already stacked on offense, with star quarterback Dak Prescott leading the way, the addition of Barkley might put America’s Team over the top, as their offense would add a missing piece to the championship puzzle.

Mike Greenberg of ESPN argues that Barkley would add a dynamic to the Cowboys’ offense similar to what Christian McCaffrey has brought to the San Francisco 49ers, via ESPN Radio.

“He will have a Christian McCaffrey-esque impact on their offense,” Greenberg said.

However, the Cowboys could be in for a bidding war for Barkley’s services, as he will be one of the most sought-after running backs on the open market during the offseason, along with Tony Pollard, Josh Jacobs, Austin Ekeler, and Derrick Henry.

Although all of these running backs bring something different to the table, Barkley will be an intriguing free agent as he can change the dynamic of an NFL offense, which many playoff teams will be looking for in free agency.
