Throughout the course of NFL history, we’ve seen some questionable moves go down.
Of course, in hindsight, it’s always easier to judge who won a trade.
However, among all the not-so-great moves made by any team, the Denver Broncos’ trade for Russell Wilson might stand in a tier of it’s own.
The Broncos are about to release Wilson two years after trading for him.
They’ll eat the largest cap hit in league history at $85 million over two years.
That’s why former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson believes this is, undeniably, the worst trade in NFL history.
Talking on Undisputed, he argued that Wilson’s impact in Denver was supposed to be monumental, which obviously wasn’t the case, not to mention the fact that he’s off the team just two years after the deal went through.

The Broncos sent QB Drew Lock, TE Noah Fant, and DT Shelby Harris to Seattle.
On top of that, they gave them two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and a fifth-round pick in return for the former Super Bowl champion and a fourth-round pick.
The Seahawks clearly won the trade.
Wilson will now look to prove that he wasn’t to blame for the Broncos’ struggles, all while the Broncos continue to pay for a quarterback who won’t even play for them.
