Activewear Dresses We Love – Living in Yellow

We’ve had a love affair here at LIY with activewear dresses for a few years now! It all really started with this one from Old Navy, but now with so many other brands and retailers making them we have been ready to take on the challenge and add more and more to our carts to see which are worth adding to yours + our closets. They are the perfect sidekick to running errands, walking the neighborhood, hitting the Pickleball courts, or just lounging around the house! I can almost guarantee once you grab an athletic dress you’ll be thinking, “Okay, I want to live in this thing!”.

If you’ve been on the fence thinking about trying one of these comfy cuties, we are sharing are favorite activewear dresses here on a variety of heights and sizes. Let’s take athleisure to a whole new level, friends…

Debbie here! I’m in love with this athletic dress! I’ve been wanting to try one for a long time. This one is not too form fitting but not too loose. I think this will be perfect for riding my bike, walking my dog and I’ll probably even do yoga in it too! I sized up to a medium. I’m 5’5” and 135 lbs.

I love, love, love this athletic dress option from Spanx! 💛 This bright color will add a little happiness to your day along with the comfortable fit!  The zipper detail on the front makes it getting off and on easy.  While I am not wearing a bra, the support felt good for my smaller chest, I can easily add one when needed or wanted.  Spanx surely knows how to smooth you out in all the right places without over squeezing you as long as you purchase the right size. Dress [true to size, wearing small tall] // Similar Sneakers

If you’re looking for a tall girl friendly dress this might be the one for you. Heather here and this Athleta athletic dress is going to be on repeat this spring and summer! It’s super lightweight, perfect to throw on while traveling. You will also find me adding bike shorts under this dress and wearing it for golf, pickleball and tennis this summer. I’m wearing the small tall here and happy with the fit and length on my 6’ frame. I’m always so happy with the quality from Athleta and this dress is a great piece to add in our summer dress lineup!

Dress [size up if in between, wearing medium] // Sandals

Alright, alright! Athletic dresses. That’s a weird oxymoron in my world. Either I’m lifting weights or being pretty. So, I’m checking this dress out that has built in shorts and sports bra. It’s super comfortable and I plan to wear it on an atv excursion in Mexico’s Maya Riviera. I’m confident it will stay in place and allow me to feel Uber feminine and strong as heck at the same time :raised_hands::skin-tone-4: let’s be great together in 2024!
