There are a lot of things NFL teams must assess when pursuing a franchise quarterback.
Physical traits are obviously important, and a player’s character and personality should also come into play.
Then again, other intangibles could end up being defining factors as well, and that goes both ways.
Considering that, Jayden Daniels’ camp might not be thrilled if he were to be taken by the New England Patriots.
According to a report by Patriots insider Phil Perry, the LSU star reportedly would prefer not to end up in Foxboro, and it could be related to the climate (via Dov Kleiman).
People within Jayden Daniels’s camp don’t want him to be drafted by the Patriots, per @PhilAPerry
“There are those in [Jayden Daniels’] camp who would really rather he not come to New England. And that’s probably climate-related.” https://t.co/0elcmRiFe7 pic.twitter.com/unYDwF613v

This isn’t that shocking, as he was born in California and attended Arizona State and LSU.
Not everybody’s cut out to play in New England’s blistering cold.
Scouts have gone back and forth with Daniels as the No. 2 or No. 3 selection, although some believe he’s as good — if not better — than Caleb Williams, who might be a lock to go first overall at this point in the process.
The Patriots are currently in power of the No. 3 pick, and they’ve been tied with either Drake Maye or WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
It’s the dawn of a new era in Forboxo, and Maye would be more similar to the kind of QB they’ve been used to having.
