The Philadelphia Eagles have lost a legend, at least on the field.

The game won’t be the same without Jason Kelce, arguably one of the greatest centers of all time.

The legendary offensive lineman just announced he is walking away from the game.

It was hardly a surprise, as most rumors pointed towards that decision when his team fell short in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Kelce was always classy on and off the field, and he made plenty of friends during more than a decade in the pros.

That’s why the Kansas City Chiefs went out of their way to congratulate him on his legendary career.

The Chiefs took to social media to state that even though he never played for them he was still family.

Kelce has been a common sight at Chiefs’ postseason games, especially this season, as he was rooting for his younger brother, Travis.

Despite being an Eagles icon, Jason had no problem whatsoever donning Chiefs’ gear to show his support for his brother.

The Kelce brothers will one day get their golden jackets.

Now, Jason will focus on the next step of his career, most likely keeping up with his successful ‘New Heights’ podcast and pursuing different endeavors.

Perhaps he’ll take a job to stay close to the game or the Eagles organization, and he’d also make a great analyst.
