The Golden State Warriors seem to be headed toward a disappointing end to the 2023-24 NBA regular season, with the storied franchise barely staying in the playoff picture in the Western Conference while going back and forth with the Los Angeles Lakers for seeding.

There haven’t been a lot of positives for the Warriors this season, as it seems like the end of an era in the Bay Area, with the team’s core potentially breaking up this summer.

However, one player who has made a lot of noise for the Warriors this season has been forward Jonathan Kuminga, who has made a considerable improvement during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging a career-high 15.6 points per game.

Podcaster Jason Timpf of The Volume believes that Kuminga’s ceiling is very high after what he’s been able to accomplish this season in San Francisco.

“The sky’s the limit for this kid,” Timpf said.

With the Warriors potentially moving on from guard Klay Thompson during the upcoming NBA offseason and likely to part ways with forward Andrew Wiggins, Kuminga has the opportunity to play a substantial role on the team moving forward if he can continue to play at a high level.

The Warriors may be heading into a new era with an uncertain future ahead, but they do seem to have a star on the rise in Kuminga, which is at least something positive for this franchise.

Only time will tell what will happen with this team and what the future may hold, but there could be some light at the end of the tunnel.
