Axios reports that Democrats “are shuddering” at Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) retirement “more than celebrating it.”

That’s because McConnell is supposedly “the bulwark of a dying breed of old-guard Republicans being systematically replaced with right-wing hardliners.”
