The Chicago Bears franchise is one of the most iconic and popular in the NFL with an avid fan base, even though the team hasn’t had a lot of success over the course of its existence.

The storied franchise is known mainly for defense and that legendary 1985 squad led by head coach Mike Ditka, which went the distance and won the team’s first and only Super Bowl title to date.

Of all the great teams the Bears have had over the years, the one position the team never seems to get right is at quarterback, which is obviously the most important position on the gridiron.

Fortunately for Chicago, the team has a chance to bring in a potential superstar at the position, with the Bears owning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and USC quarterback Caleb Williams being there for the taking.

Former NFL star LeSean McCoy gave his reasoning why Williams would be the best fit for the Bears, as he will have a chance to be the best quarterback in the team’s history, via “Speak.”

“Imagine Caleb Williams being the best QB of all-time for Chicago,” McCoy said. “You don’t think that feels good?”

McCoy definitely has a point and as sad as it is, Williams will have the opportunity to be the best quarterback in the franchise’s history right out of the gate if Chicago drafts him.

In order for this to happen, the Bears will have to trade quarterback Justin Fields, which seems to be the way the team is leaning with less than two months to go before draft day on April 25.
