Coming into tonight’s game at Crypto.com Arena, the Los Angeles Clippers are one of the best teams in the league, with Kawhi Leonard and company sporting a record of 37-19 while sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference behind the Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Denver Nuggets.

As for the Los Angeles Lakers, the storied franchise continues to struggle as it has been another up-and-down season in the LeBron James era, with the team currently sitting in 10th place in the West with a record of 31-28.

However, the Lakers have had the Clippers’ number this season, with the team potentially on the verge of winning the season series with their crosscourt rivals for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign, according to NBA on ESPN.

The Lakers won the first two games of the series, the first of which went into overtime and the second being decided by three points, while the Clippers won their last meeting late last month by 11 points.

Along with the season series potentially being on the line for the Lakers, this will be the last time that the Clippers host the Purple and Gold at Crypto unless they meet in the NBA playoffs.

The Clippers will move into the Intuit Dome in Inglewood next season in an effort to get out of the Lakers’ shadow for good, which will be the start of a new era for Steve Ballmer’s franchise.

As for the Lakers, this is the perfect opportunity to get the last laugh before seeing their co-tenets leave the stadium for their own building down the road.
