Looking back at his career in the NFL so far, the argument can easily be made that Mike Evans is one of the most underrated wide receivers in the history of the league.
Evans has been in the league since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and during his 10 years in the NFL, he’s been able to finish with at least 1,000 receiving yards in every single season.
Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel is someone who is very familiar with the impressive talent of Evans, since the two played together in college at Texas A&M.
Recently, Manziel responded to a post on Twitter about the Bucs working on re-signing Evans this offseason, as the wide receiver is currently scheduled to become a free agent when the new league year begins in March (via Johnny Manziel on Twitter).

For those who might be confused about Manziel’s recent post on Twitter, he shared an emoji of a goat next to Mike Evans’ Twitter handle, which is essentially him calling the wide receiver the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T).
Some might scoff at the idea of Evans at least being considered among the greatest NFL wide receivers of all time, but he’s got the numbers to back it up.
At the age of 30, his 13 touchdown catches led the league last season, and these were in addition to the 79 receptions and 1,255 receiving yards he accumulated in 2023 as well.
Whenever Evans becomes eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there’s a very real chance that he could get voted in during his first appearance on the ballot.
