Although NBA All-Star Weekend was another dud in the minds of many, with not much to get excited about, the three-point shootout was entertaining, with superstar guard Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks putting on a show.

Lillard was able to beat out the competition to win the three-point shootout for the second straight year, which was impressive, considering the competition and the small margin of error.

Even though winning a second straight competition was impressive, it was what Lillard was able to do during the NBA All-Star Game that really blew people away.

The NBA All-Star Game itself was boring, with no defense being played and players jacking up shots left and right, but Lillard made headlines by casually hitting a half-court shot with normal form and then winning the Kobe Bryant MVP Award.

After some incredible shooting being put on display, ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe made the bold argument on Monday that Lillard has more range than Golden State Warriors superstar and arguably the greatest shooter of all time Stephen Curry, via NBACentral.

“I think Steph is the greatest shooter, but when it comes to distance, I don’t think anyone can beat Dame Dolla,” Sharpe said on his podcast.

After seeing Lillard casually hit the half-court shot in the All-Star Game, Sharpe might actually have a point, even though he’s likely only trying to get some headlines with a bold statement.

Curry takes some deep three-pointers while playing for the Warriors and does it often, but Lillard consistently shoots from an insane distance and is ridiculously accurate.

Regardless of who has more range between these two superstars, they’re both incredible shooters and will go down as some of the best to ever do it.
