LeBron James has the Los Angeles Lakers feeling optimistic about going on a second-half run during the 2023-24 NBA season.

James has been able to stay healthy for most of the season and with the team playing better as of late, the Lakers could make another playoff push similar to the one they made last year.

Despite being in Year 21, James is playing at an All-NBA level and would be generating more MVP buzz if Los Angeles had a better record.

However, the only thing that matters for the Lakers is that James appears ready for another postseason appearance and the roster is gelling at the right moment.

The King isn’t a stranger to critics, though, as some have been praying for his downfall for years.

NBA legends like Larry Bird have come to James’ defense, though, and emphasized that people should be appreciating what the Lakers star is doing at this stage of his career via Speak Context.

“Quit whining about LeBron. Enjoy him while he’s here. He’s unbelievable,” Bird said.

James’ productivity at his age is unprecedented and likely won’t be seen again for a long time.

He’s the rare superstar who somehow exceeded expectations and is one of the few who can legitimately claim he’s the GOAT.

As Bird mentioned, James remains one of the best players in the world and is defying Father Time every time he steps out on the floor.

Although the Lakers are longshots to win the NBA championship this year, James gives them a chance in any series they’re in.
