The Atlanta Hawks are in the midst of another disappointing regular season, but have a superstar in Trae Young that keeps them relevant on the floor.
Although the Hawks are likely heading for another Play-In Tournament appearance, it’s hardly come at the expense of Young’s production as he’s averaging 26.7 points and 10.9 assists per game.
The small guard is a one-man offensive system capable of creating for himself and others, which made him an easy candidate to serve as a replacement on the Eastern Conference All-Star team.
Young often draws comparisons to Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry because of his electric outside shooting, though the two are still different players stylistically.
During All-Star practice, Young showed off his range by hitting a tough trick shot from the stands via Bleacher Report.

In the video clip, Young can be seen standing with the fans and heaves the ball that swishes perfectly through the net.
The shot is similar to the one that Curry likes to do before games where he hoists a long ball near the Warriors’ tunnel.
The fans near Young immediately begin to cheer and dap up the star guard, a fun moment for the fans during All-Star Weekend.
However, while Young is certainly enjoying himself during the festivities the reality is he and the Hawks have a lot to sort out once the regular season resumes next week.
For now, though, Young will be expected to put on a show during the 2024 All-Star Game on Sunday.
