After he was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick last year by the Carolina Panthers, quarterback Bryce Young’s rookie season in the NFL was one that was full of more downs than ups.
Young started 16 games for the Panthers in 2023, but his passing numbers were nothing to get excited about.
He completed less than 60 percent of his passes, averaged less than 180 passing yards per matchup, threw only 11 touchdowns, finished with a passer rating of 73.7, and led Carolina to just two wins in his 16 starts.
Despite all of his struggles, Young recently revealed that his still confident in his abilities as a quarterback (via TMZ Sports on Twitter).
“I feel like I’ve grown — I’ve learned,” Young told TMZ Sports

With a new coaching staff in place now for the Panthers, Young will likely feel like he’s getting a clean slate for the 2024 campaign.
After Carolina fired Frank Reich as their head coach during the middle of the 2023 season, the team recently decided to hire former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales.
This past season, Canales played a significant role in the success that quarterback Baker Mayfield had with the Bucs, and in 2022, he helped Geno Smith have a resurgent performance as the starting signal-caller for the Seattle Seahawks.
The Panthers will be hoping that he can continue his success as someone who can get the most out of his offense’s quarterback when he works with Young this year.
Will the change in head coaches make a difference for the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, or will his struggles in Carolina continue when he returns to the field in 2024?
