It’s Super Bowl Sunday, the culmination of every NFL season, and this year’s game promises to be something special.

Not only are NFL fans going to be tuned in, but fans of pop star Taylor Swift will also be glued to the screen just to get a glimpse of her.

For those playing in the game, the Super Bowl is a lifelong dream that has finally come true.

That’s certainly the case for San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams.

2023 marked Williams’s 14th pro season, but this is his first trip to the sport’s biggest game and it couldn’t be sweeter.

“It really feels like a dream come true,” Williams said recently via NFL on CBS. “It’s one of those things that I thought would always escape me my whole career. I was kind of nervous for a second towards the tail end [of the playoffs] but it’s an indescribable feeling.”

Williams was originally the fourth overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma by the then-Washington Redskins.

The head coach of Washington at the time was Mike Shanahan and the offensive coordinator was Kyle Shanahan.

While Williams was becoming one of the best tackles in the NFL, Kyle Shanahan left Washington in 2014 to lead the offenses in Cleveland and Atlanta.

In 2017, he became the head coach of the Niners and then landed Williams in 2020.
