Contracts in sports are hitting new heights, and some would say the dollar values on such contracts are getting ridiculous.

The NFL has been a prime example, as certain players, especially quarterbacks and wide receivers, have garnered incredible sums of money over the last couple of years.

CeeDee Lamb, one of the best wide receivers in the game, will be a free agent at the end of next season, and some are wondering how much the Dallas Cowboys will pay him to keep him in the fold.

Brandon Marshall said on the “I Am Athlete” podcast that Lamb should become the highest-paid wideout in the NFL with his next contract.

As Marshall pointed out, a lot of attention was focused on the Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill because of his pursuit of 2,000 receiving yards this season, a mark he fell short of partly due to an ankle injury.

Hill had a mere 1,799 yards, but Lamb was right behind him with 1,749 yards while catching a league-high 135 passes.

Lamb was a huge reason the Cowboys led the NFL in points scored and passing touchdowns during the regular season.

Of course, the Cowboys absolutely collapsed in the Wild Card round of the playoffs against the Green Bay Packers, which has led to some speculation about their immediate future.

While the futures of quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy could be in question, there seems to be no way owner Jerry Jones will let Lamb, who is just 24 years of age, leave Dallas any time soon.
