The Los Angeles Dodgers have made it clear what their plans are for the 2024 season.

That is to win and win big.

LA has been one of the best regular-season teams in baseball over the past few years.

But all of that regular-season success has not resulted in anything.

Last season, the Dodgers were knocked out in the NLDS by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

That is part of the motivation as to why the Dodgers acquired Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow this offseason.

But, there is another former MVP that the Dodgers are bringing back.

According to Joel Sherman, the Dodgers have re-signed Clayton Kershaw to a one-year deal.

That signing now puts the Dodgers into elite company.

According to Sarah Langs, the Dodgers will be the sixth team ever to have four former MVPs appear for them in a season.

The four former MVPs on the Dodgers this year are Kershaw, Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman.

The Dodgers also accomplished this feat in both 2021 and 2022.

You will not find a more talented team in all of baseball.

But, some of these former MVPs will be battling injuries into next season.

Ohtani will be unable to pitch the entire year as he recovers from elbow surgery.

But, he is still expected to be the Dodgers’ everyday DH.

As for Kershaw, he is not expected to pitch until the second half of the season.

He is recovering from shoulder surgery and the Dodgers hope to have him back later in the season.

On paper, the Dodgers are the heavy World Series favorites.

But over a 162-game season, anything can happen, and it will be fun to see how the Dodgers perform.
