With the annual NBA trade deadline quickly approaching, the Brooklyn Nets are an interesting team to watch out for.
The Nets own a 19-28 record and would miss the Play-In Tournament if the 2023-24 NBA season ended today.
However, Brooklyn’s got several intriguing pieces on the roster that playoff teams would pay a pretty decent price for to bolster their championship odds.
Players like Spencer Dinwiddie, Royce O’Neal, and Dorian Finney-Smith are expected to garner interest around the deadline and could be moved for draft assets.
Meanwhile, the team is looking to evaluate Ben Simmons, who has missed numerous games this year due to injury.
Simmons was held out of the Nets’ recent game against the Phoenix Suns due to a minor knee injury, but is slated to return to the lineup against the Philadelphia 76ers, via Tim Bontemps of ESPN.
“The Nets say Ben Simmons will be available for tonight’s game in Philadelphia,” Bontemps reported.

In Simmons’ return game against the Utah Jazz, he came off the bench and nearly recorded a triple-double in just 18 minutes.
Now, he will face his former team for the first time this season after missing the previous contest due to a back injury.
The former No. 1 overall pick has dealt with a lot the past few seasons and has become a running joke in the NBA, though he is clearly still a useful player when available.
Philadelphia has no love lost for Simmons after his forgettable postseason run with them, but the point forward will look to show that he’s got something left to prove.
