After dominating the competition throughout the NFL regular season and putting on a show against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Baltimore Ravens came into the AFC Championship Game as the favorites to beat the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
The Ravens seemingly had all the tools to take down Andy Reid’s squad, with the team being a force to be reckoned with in the ground game, which had a stacked backfield and a quarterback that could outrun anyone if forced to run the football.
In a strange turn of events, the Ravens went away from what they do best, which is run the football, as Jackson and the team seemed content with him hanging out in the pocket until it collapsed time and time again.
After the Chiefs officially punched their ticket to the Super Bowl for a second straight year, Colid Cowherd of FOX Sports took to Twitter to criticize head coach John Harbaugh for a game plan that didn’t make any sense and resulted in a loss via The Volume.
“What was that game plan? It didn’t make sense for three and a half hours. They didn’t run the ball,” Cowherd said.
“If you’re John Harbaugh, you’ve got to answer some questions.”

It was a head-scratching game plan by Harbaugh, and it also made no sense why Jackson didn’t take off and run when given the opportunity over and over again on Sunday.
In the end, it turns out that Reid was the better coach, and Mahomes was much more ready for this game than Jackson, who will likely be named NFL MVP for the second time in his career.
It’ll be interesting to see what changes might occur for the Ravens during the offseason and if Jackson can improve from here on out when it comes to big-game situations.
