The stage is set for an epic playoff showdown between two of the best teams in the NFL on Sunday when Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens play host to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at M&T Bank Stadium.
As of right now, the Ravens are expected to come out on top in this playoff matchup on Sunday, with Baltimore having the advantage of playing at home while being arguably the better all-around team in every respect.
Along with the odds already being against the defending champions in this game, the Chiefs will reportedly be without one of their best players on offense, which could prove costly while also putting more pressure on Patrick Mahomes.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Chiefs have ruled out All-Pro guard Joe Thuney.

Obviously, losing an All-Pro on the offensive line will impact a team’s success on that side of the football, which is troubling for a Chiefs team that hasn’t exactly been the dominant team of old on offense.
However, it’s always difficult to write off the Chiefs, as Mahomes and company have been one of the most resilient teams in the NFL over the last half-decade or so.
As the favorite, the Ravens will look to take advantage of the Chiefs being without Thuney on Sunday, as it could be something that really changes the outcome of this showdown between AFC heavyweights.
It’ll be interesting to see how much impact his absence will have on this game and whether it’s enough for Baltimore to cruise to victory on their home field.
