The Kansas City Chiefs are back to a stage they’ve been used to being in for quite a while now.
The AFC Championship Game has featured them for the past six years.
This time, however, they’ll have to go out and win it on the road, and against the presumed MVP, of all people.
That’s why Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin believes there’s no more time or room for excuses anymore.
Talking on Undisputed, the former wideout stated that this is a must-win game for Lamar Jackson, as he’s the frontrunner to win MVP and it’ll be his first time at this stage, not to mention the fact that he’s at home.
“Lamar must win this game,” Irvin said.

Irvin claimed that Jackson wanted to be known as a top passer and is now playing in a passer’s offense, so he has to get the job done.
Patrick Mahomes is already a bonafide winner in this league.
He’s 13-3 in the playoffs, and only two quarterbacks have managed to get past him in the postseason, and he’s a two-time Super Bowl champion.
Mahomes doesn’t have anything left to prove at this point; he can only keep adding to his legacy.
As for Jackson, he’s found plenty of success in the regular season but not so much in the playoffs.
Also, with the AFC likely getting tougher next season, this might be now or never for the Louisville product.
