Jackson Holliday was the No. 1 pick in the 2022 MLB Draft.

The Baltimore Orioles made him an integral part of their future, and so far, the young infielder has demonstrated just about every tool in the book in his minor league tenure.

He has incredible bat-to-ball skills, plate discipline, barrel control, speed, defense, and makeup.

Holliday, the son of former star Matt Holliday, has it all.

To hone his skills and keep him involved in the game he loves, he and his father (and his brother Ethan, a ballplayer too) set up a nice complex with batting cages, a field, a gym, and other tools to improve as a player.

That complex is in his apartment, which makes it even cooler, as seen in a video shared by MLB on Twitter.

His apartment actually opens up to a batting cage, a comfortable area in which he can hit and work on his swing, pitch recognition, and other things.

It also has a pickleball court.

As he states, he doesn’t even have to leave that place if he doesn’t want to.

He has all the tools to train there, and they built it almost from zero.

Fans, of course, reacted to the cool story.

A fan congratulated him on the complex and reminded his father about a controversial play in Game 163 in 2007, when Matt played for the Colorado Rockies and didn’t touch home in a pivotal play.

Most of the messages were from people who were truly amazed by the complex.

It is truly every kid’s dream.

Holliday aced multiple levels in 2023, including Triple-A, and could be part of the 2024 Opening Day lineup if the O’s decide it.

The future is bright.
