The Houston Astros always seem to find ways to get better in the offseason.
After losing in seven games to the Texas Rangers in the ALCS, the Astros came into the offseason looking to improve.
One way they went about doing that was by adding a dominant player to one of the strongest parts of their team.
That came with the signing of closer Josh Hader.
Hader was a part of the Astros organization back in 2013.
He was traded from Baltimore to Houston and then in 2015 Houston sent him to Milwaukee.
While this is his first time playing for the Astros, he has spent time in their minor leagues.
The Astros made sure to welcome back the star closer to their organization.

Hader will be a welcomed addition to a team looking to compete in the World Series.
He will step into the closer role with Ryan Pressly taking over the eighth inning.
It is safe to say the Astros are forming one of the most dominant bullpens in baseball.
In his career, Hader has 165 saves and a 2.50 ERA.
His career opponent batting average is .156.
He has thrown 388.2 innings in his career with 648 strikeouts.
That is 15.0 strikeouts per nine.
If you are looking for a closer that will shut down the ninth inning with ease, Hader is your guy.
Pitching for the Astros could set him up for a career-high in saves.
37 is his career high, but now he joins a team that consistently wins 90+ or even 100 games.
The Astros should be on the shortlist of teams that can win the World Series after this move.
