The Philadelphia Eagles could’ve lost more than just one game.

The Wild Card loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could’ve been Jason Kelce’s final game in the National Football League, and that could be a huge issue for them going forward.

Earlier reports stated that Kelce addressed the locker room after the game and announced he was ready to walk away from the game for good.

However, it seems like that’s not true at all.

Talking to his brother Travis for their “New Heights” podcast, the older Kelce star claimed that he hasn’t made a decision on his future yet (via PFF).

“I just don’t think you’re in a position after a game like that to really make that decision,” he said.

He admitted that he did address his teammates and told them to cherish every moment in the league and whatnot, adding that some of them even seemed to be sorry for him if that was his last game.

Kelce claimed that they didn’t have to be sorry for him because he had a great career.

The future Hall of Famer also said that if he does decide to retire, it won’t be immediately after such an emotional game like that one.

He also claimed that he would have to make a different type of announcement, as it wouldn’t be fair to some of the most important people he met throughout the course of his career to do otherwise.

At the end of the day, he doesn’t have to make a decision today or tomorrow.

It’s a life-changing move, so he’s doing the right thing by waiting until he’s completely sure about what he wants to do.
